Organic Chemistry Department paticipated in all scientific activities of National University of Pharmacy, Kharkiv and Ukraine.
The international conference “Chemistry of Nitrogen Containing Heterocycles” is held every three years since 1997 at the premises of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, State Scientific Institution “Institute for Single Crystals” of the NAS of Ukraine and NUPh. The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Institute of Organic Chemistry of NAS of Ukraine are also among the organizers.
The conference discusses the problems of organic synthesis, questions of the structure and reactivity of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, kinetics and mechanisms of reactions with their participation, physicochemical and biological properties of the compounds obtained.
The participants and guests of the conference actively asked questions to the speakers, after each report a hot debate arose among the interested participants. It is this creative atmosphere that contributes to formation of new ideas that our scientists will later bring to life.
The National University of Pharmacy is an unchanged leader of the branch both in number and by the level of preparation and holding of scientific conferences. Such events as the international conference “Chemistry of Nitrogen Containing Heterocycles” are not only the unique hallmark of the University, but also promote development and improvement of the domestic scientific potential.

Hosts of the conference are the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Institute of Organic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences; Kharkov National University named after V.N. Karazin; State Scientific Institution “Institute for Single Crystals” of the NAS of Ukraine; National University of Pharmacy; Ukrainian Chemical Society. The conference is held every three years (beginning from 1997 ) at the premises of the Kharkov National University named after V.N. Karazin, State Scientific Institution “Institute for Single Crystals” of the NAS of Ukraine and National University of Pharmacy.
At the conference the Organic Chemistry Department of the NUPh presented its research in the synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds and the study of their biological activity.
